Annual Christian Convention for Evangelism
What started as a small brainstorming session among three friends trying to write sermons has blossomed into a week-long learning event. Thousands of Christians gather from across the globe to learn, find inspiration and spread the word during this convention for the whole family. Polishing the Pulpit takes place at the Sevierville Convention Center Friday, August 21 through Thursday, August 27.
The evangelistic event offers over 500 classes, with topics ranging from in-depth Biblical text study to lectures on the Holy Spirit to practical courses on children’s Bible class resources. The 190 speakers will discuss material on nearly 700 different topics during 13 concurrent hourly sessions that take place over seven days. Clearly, everyone will find something of interest to inspire and educate.

There is so much information being shared that attendees might feel a bit overwhelmed. For those who “stick it out” for the entire week will be rewarded with a “Stayed to the End” bonus: a memory stick filled with audio from this year’s sessions. This valuable resource allows you to attend your favorite sessions yet not miss a single one.
In between sessions or as a break from a day of classes, participants can visit the full size New Testament village that features a common area, dwelling places, a marketplace, and version of the city walls. Children will be included in the activities as well. Kids from 2-18 can attend the many options available to them. Older kids and teens will feel perfectly comfortable during regular classes, just for teen activities, they and may especially enjoy “The Greatest Sermons Preached in the Last 200 Years” reenactments.
With more than enough options for the entire family, Polishing the Pulpit is sure to make everyone’s lives shine a bit more brightly. Reserve your cabin rental early for the best locations convenient to the convention center.
