Summer Christian Music & Worship Event
Summer might be starting to wind down as August comes to an end, but for four nights in August, Gatlinburg will see things come alive. From Wednesday, August 19 to Saturday, August 22, the Gatlinburg Gathering event takes place at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. That’s a lot of fine singing and gospel preaching!
Over the course of the Gatlinburg Gathering, the audience will enjoy 16 Christian musical artists and four speakers. The fun begins at 6:30 each evening, so everyone will have a chance to take in all that Gatlinburg has to offer before the show. Spend the day strolling the Parkway and seeing the sites, then sit back and relax at the Christian music concerts offering hours of uplifting and inspiring gospel music, a sure way to revitalize the soul for another day of the same!
Performers on Wednesday include Jason Crabb, The Triumphant Quartet, The Primitive Quartet, and The Erwins, with a message from Dr. Tim Lee.
On Thursday, concerts include performances by The Collingsworth Family, The Booth Brothers, The Talleys and Tribute, followed by speaker Dr. Johnny Hunt.
Friday evening will offer even more great music from Greater Vision, The Mark Trammell Quartet, The Whisnants, and Ivan Parker. Dr. Herb Reavis will deliver a sermon.
On the final evening of the Gathering, the audience will be regaled with music from The Hoppers, Brian Fee and Assurance, Karen Peck and New River, and The Allen Family, with Dr. John Bowman speaking.
For folks who just can’t get enough from the evening performances, there will be 10 a.m. events on both Friday and Saturday. At 4 p.m. each day, you can get a glimpse of the next big thing on the gospel music scene at the Up and Coming Artist Showcase. When they headline the show a few years from now, you’ll be able to say that you saw them when. Visit The Gathering online for complete conference information.
