Synchronous Fireflies Light Show: The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is home to the annual synchronous firefly gathering that offers a splendid light show in the Elkmont area of the park. Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge Car Show & Swap Meet: If you love classic Pontiacs—Firebirds, Fieros, GTOs and Lemans to name a few—you’ll want to rent a cabin in Pigeon Forge so you don’t miss this car show now it’s 15th year. Car’s will be on display along with a vendor shop meet, competition and Saturday night cruise all at Music Road Hotel Convention Center. National Trails Day: Today is the day to get out and enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Nationwide, parks are celebrating Trails Day, hoping to bring awareness of and enjoyment through hiking in your local park. We’re open!

Dollywood’s Great American Summer Festival: Celebrate your all-American love of family, food and fun at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge. Park is open later for a full 12 hours of thrill rides, special live entertainment, and great summer cooking at onsite restaurants. Be sure to stick around for Dolly’s Nights of Many Colors fireworks show every night at 9:30 p.m.

Free Gatlinburg Trolley Rides: If you love to walk, shop and dine in downtown Gatlinburg, take advantage of free trolley service between traffic lights #1 and #10. Special open-air trolleys run from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. every day. Get on and off as often as you like all day long.

Wine on the Lawn: Local grapes produce some of the best local wines to be found in Sevier County. Grab a lawn chair or blanket and head to Governor’s Crossing in Sevierville to Hillside Winery for a fun and casual evening of wine tasting, entertainment and socializing.
