The region surrounding Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is chock full of artists, artisans, and craftspeople working in every medium imaginable. From fine artists working in a full studio with an attached gallery to guys who whittle bear figures in their spare time, it seems almost everyone is producing something beautiful, useful, or both. Beginning in the month of October, visitors to the area will have several chances to see the arts and crafts for themselves, and might even get the chance to see the creation as it happens.
