While we may be waiting for the fall colors to flash in the Smoky Mountains, we’re not waiting for the fall festivals! It’s time to enjoy the fall season in a way that only the Smokies can.  A southern harvest brings great food, traditional skills and crafts, bluegrass and gospel music, and a whole lot of down-home fun to Sevierville, Wears Valley and Townsend TN. This fall edition of the Nawger Nob Arts and Crafts Festival welcomes you to Townsend for arts, crafts, food and fun. Festival times are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. 7321 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Townsend TN.

Beautiful gospel music by the industry’s top artists, skilled craftsmen from across the US, savory and sweet fall foods and the all new Great Pumpkin IllumiNights. This is Dollywood’s biggest fall festival yet! Hours vary.

Fall Festival and Old Timers Day
Annual fall event head at the Townsend Visitors Center celebrates all things Appalachia. You’ll enjoy bluegrass music and jam sessions, cloggings, antique tractors, storytellers, arts & crafts, and traditional skills demonstrations including cornmeal making, blacksmithing, sorghum molasses making, apple butter, basketry, weaving, spinning, and quilting. You’ll need the whole two days just to take it all in! Crafters, demonstrators and food vendors are available 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Bluegrass bands play 11 a.m. -9:30p.m. Festival is free, $8 on-premises parking fee benefits the Townsend Volunteer Fire Department. Free shuttle service is available from locations throughout town. 7906 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway, Townsend TN.

11th Annual Blue Ribbon Country Fair
Traditional country fair with fabulous food competitions, arts and crafts, live entertainment, and old-fashioned games. Fair is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and admission is $5, kids ages 6 and younger free. Be sure to plan on entering various contests that include Hog Calling, Rooster Crowing – ‘Crow Like a Rooster’, the Lodge Ladies Skillet Throw or even Catch the Greased Pig!

Robert Tino’s Smoky Mountain Homecoming
Attend this ‘locals favorite’ festival at the Robert Tino farm in Sevierville from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. for some wholesome family fun. This event celebrates mountain heritage with skills demonstrations, hay rides, antique tractors, a pumpkin patch and old fashioned games, arts & crafts and great food. Robert A. Wears Valley Fall Fest
Three days of fall family fun! Festival hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday & Saturday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. There will be southern gospel, country and folk music; free kids activities; arts & crafts; and a petting zoo. Head out to the valley for some of south’s best food, music and fun. 3177 Wears Valley Rd, Wears Valley TN next to the Tennessee State Bank.

Townsend Grains & Grits Spirits and Food Festival
This festival is a unique opportunity to experience southern spirits and gourmet food in beautiful Townsend TN. The 6-9 p.m. event is for adults only – ages 21 and over are welcome to partake of sampling crafted spirits from local distilleries as well as those from across the state. Pair your beverages of choice with great food and treats while enjoying a terrific lineup of live entertainment. Tickets are $65. Rain or shine event with no refunds.
